Kelly Williams

Kelly finished her Chemo this December 2008 as well as her final check up of the year!! and it is with GREAT PLEASURE that I can announce that Kelly is Cancer FREE!!!! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during Kelly & Scott's long journey of 2008.

Kelly's white blood cells are still a little low but they will come back up and once they do she doesn't have to see another Dr. for 6 months. The Dr. did tell her that she can't work for about 4 months till she has her strength back so Kelly has already told Scott to start planning the 2009 Racing Season cause she's ready to hit the road.

Continue to keep Kelly and Scott in your prayers

Marti Meyer Surgery Update

I'm going to keep this update brief (that's a first!). Once again I had 4 or 5 real good days last weekend and early this week..but have taken a giant step backward in my recovery, with re occurrence of pretty intense pain in my leg. I'm battling discouragement, as I had a job interview scheduled that I will not be able to go on now because I can't do the job in this condition (I actually thought I was getting better...silly me!), and because this has been ongoing now for 5 months. It's been over 8 weeks since surgery, and, because I'm not recovering I'm going for an M.R.I. on the 17th and a visit to the surgeon on the 18th. MAYBE there'll be some answers.

For those of you who don't know, at 5 weeks the surgeon prescribed Neurontin and 4 weeks of Physical Therapy w/moist heat, massage and ultrasound; the theory being that it's muscles locked down on the nerve, keeping it inflamed. Obviously, that hasn't worked quite like we'd hoped.

Your prayers are coveted.

Update on Jake and his Knee Surgery

March 4th. Update on Jake

Jake is back to school and doing fine. His knee is healing well...my only concern is that he'll try to do too much too soon (typical of a 21 year old).

As for me, I am cautiously optimistic that I seem to be on the mend. I've had 3 days now with less pain and more tolerance for sitting, etc. I've had such an "up and down" road that I'm almost afraid to say that I'm finally getting better...but, if I regress, the Lord is in charge of that, too...I just have to trust Him.

Thanks for your prayers/concern.

Your sister in Christ,

Marti

Jake is doing fine and is on his way back to Cedarville, His knee surgery was fairly minor and is healing nicely.

Please keep Jake in your prayers during this time of healing as well as during his time in school
